Pop 'n' Jazz Acoustic Duo
Alice
Alice has been singing since a young age. At 13 she moved to the West Indies and made her first musical encounters. She discovers her taste for jazz, Gospel and sings in her first group of compositions. They will do different concerts and competitions together (1st Prize of "Pointe aux Etoiles" at the initiative of the Kassav 'group). In 2000, Alice is a semi-finalist of the "Graines de Star" contest.
Back in France, she sings in the Women's Choir of the Junior Opera with the Montpellier National Orchestra and the Radio France Orchestra. She returns to JAM (Regional School of Jazz and Contemporary Music) in vocal jazz and saxophone. In the same year, she joined Compagnie Equinoxe, which performed on stages such as the Montpellier Zenith, the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, the Théâtre Antique d'Orange, the Sporting Club in Monaco and many other scenes in France. At the same time, she sang in the group Blue Vibes and continued her music studies at the Conservatoire de Nîmes in lyric singing.
In 2010, Alice sings in the album "Voices" by Jean-Pierre LLabador (nominated for Victoires de la Musique in 2008).
The following year she returned to the IMFP of Salon-de-Provence (Musical Institute of Vocational Training).
She then continues her tours with the Compagnie Equinoxe, sings as a singer for Emmanuel Djob and refines her compositions with the project of releasing an album.
Laurent
It is in perfect autoditact that Laurent starts the guitar at the age of 14.
Rocked as much by the Beatles as Roland Dyens, he is passionate about the instrument in all its diversity: electric, acoustic or folk, he never stops to improve in the variety of styles he likes.
After having followed the professional curriculum of the JAM in Montpellier in 2003, Laurent quickly integrates the big formations of the South of France.
For 5 years he travels all over France and his most beautiful scenes, gaining a great experience in very different styles: varieties and musicals with the Company Obsession, soul and rock with the orchestra Sur Mesure ...
Passionate about jazz, blues and funk, he works in parallel on projects of original compositions: Il'am (Carribean soul), Oréus Hungbo (world music), Marcel Bichette (pop) ...
In 2013, the project "Alice & Lo" is emerging: Alice and Laurent meet to play together and rearrange their own songs that they particularly love.
Thanks to a "loop pedal", they superimpose live guitars, add choirs and create their own color.
Quickly, the Duo makes concerts at various events: festivals, musical evenings, aperitifs and wedding ceremonies, gala evenings, seminars, private parties etc ...
Today Alice & Lo occur in many prestigious places in the region;
To give a few examples: La Grande Motte Pasino, Domaine de Verchant *****, Château La Banquière, Domaine des Moures, Château de la Mogère, Hotel Pullman ****, Novotel Suites Montpellier ****, To the Big Children - The Cloud, the Domain of Montpellier Massane ...
And everywhere in France: Festival of Contemporary Arts (Saint Florent), Castle Touny-les-Roses (Albi), Castle Tourreau (Tours), Castle Sarrians (Vaucluse), private beaches (Cannes) ...
Alice and Laurent are working today on an album that should come out in 2019!
